Reduce Back Pain with Yoga!
Back pain can be difficult. It hampers your day to day activities and you end feeling irritated and restless throughout the entire day. Back pain can be caused by a number of reasons and some of these may be because of your sitting habits. Make sure you correct these habits beforehand, and avoid long term injury. But even so the back pain doesn’t go away quite easily.
Doing some basic Yoga exercises can help you to reduce back pain to a great extent. Here are some yoga exercises that you can do at home to reduce your back pain.
1) Lie down on your back and bring your left knee near your chest. Get a strap or a towel and place it against the ball of your foot. Stretch out your leg in the air and try to hold for 3 to 5 minutes while continuously pushing out with your leg. This should relieve lower back pain to great extent.
2) Lie down on your stomach and prop yourself up using just your forearms. Try to touch your elbows to the floor and puss upward without lifting your stomach, thighs or your legs. Hold this position and try pushing your pelvic bone further on the floor to relieve the pain in you lower back by the blood flow. Breathe through the pain and let the healing begin.
3) You can also relieve back pain if you lie down on your back and bring both your knees towards your chest. Now slowly twist the lower body to one side without lifting any of the shoulders. Hold this position for a couple of minutes and you will feel your back ease up and the pain will reduce.
While trying these Yoga exercises it is important to note not to push yourself and create more strain on your back. Your aim is to relax your back and not injure it. Do it in a position comfortable to you and hold it as much as you can without tiring yourself.
