Funky Fruits and Vegetables for your Face
Fruits have long been a favorite of companies making beauty products, not only because they smell great but also because their natural vitamins and minerals do a great job on your skin. While eating fruits and vegetables is obviously good for your overall health, if you’re not a fan of chugging them down there are still other ways to get the benefits. For instance, you can use those funky fruits and veggies in a mask and apply that to your skin and thereby let the vitamins and minerals seep into your skin.
Not all fruits and vegetables are the same in their advantages though. Each has its specific benefit. For example, cucumbers are excellent for soaking up swelling and giving the face a fresh look. If you suffer from puffy sleepy eyes or bags under the eyes, then try putting a couple of slices or mashed cucumbers on them for fifteen minutes in the morning. Lemons are a great cleanser, because the acid in them cleans up clogged pores. They are also a mild bleacher, so applying them to dark patches on your skin will clear them up and make them sparkly white. Use lemon juice as part of a mask or just keep some in a bottle, diluted, to spray on.
Strawberries are also an excellent fruit to apply to your skin because they are known to make your skin look brighter. So not only are these delightful berries good to eat but they can also be pureed and applied as a mask. Bananas are also good to use because they have lots of nutrients. You can even try mixing them up to get the advantages of both.
